Over 2,000 Spring Festival events in 211 traditional villages in Shandong drive consumption exceeding 100 million yuan

During the Spring Festival, traditional villages across Shandong were filled with festive joy and vitality. On March 4, the provincial department of housing and urban-rural development reported that since launching its "Qilu Culture Nourishes Ancient Villages" campaign, historical towns and traditional villages across the province had taken active part in "Celebrating New Year in Traditional Villages" activities, blending culture, nostalgia and consumption to create immersive cultural experiences for visitors.

According to statistics, during the holiday, 211 traditional villages held 2,171 events ranging from village galas and folk parades to intangible cultural heritage displays, farming and solar term activities, sports competitions, and cultural creativity shows. These events drew about 3.77 million visitors and directly drove consumption worth 110 million yuan, achieving mutual enhancement of cultural communication and tourism spending.

Additionally, to promote the urban-rural integration of fine traditional culture, 62 events were organized to bring rural folk customs, traditional crafts and local flavors to urban communities. These activities allowed urban residents to experience the cultural heritage of traditional villages up close, built bridges for urban-rural cultural exchanges, unlocked consumption potential, and promoted the mutual integration and common prosperity of fine traditional culture.
